Rigesa to receive FIEC award - Aug 8, 2007 - 3:34:00 PM

Rigesa's Environmental Education Seminar was awarded first place in the category of Environmental Education by FIEC, the Federation of Industries of the State of Ceará. The award recognizes businesses that emphasize preservation of the environment and that implement activities which result in improvement of the business's environmental quality.
It is the third consecutive time that Rigesa has been recognized in this category for its policies concerning environmental education. In 2005, Rigesa won the award for its Seminary on Environmental Education and, in 2006, for Rigevida - Rigesa's monthly educational journal on the environment.
The award ceremony, will take place on August 20th , at Luiz Esteves Neto Auditorium, in Fortaleza, Ceará.
About Rigesa's Seminary on Environmental Education
Rigesa's Environmental Education Seminar has taken place for the past seven years in each city that Rigesa has a factory. So far, close to 1800 teachers have been trained, 500 schools involved and 38 thousand students have received the journal Rigevida each month. In 2007 alone, 550 teachers participated in the seminaries held during June and July.
