Rigesa to receive the Fritz Müller award - Aug 8, 2007 - 3:39:00 PM

For the fifth time, Rigesa will receive the Fritz Müller trophy, the most highly respected environmental award of Santa Catarina, given by FATMA (the Santa Catarina Environmental Foundation) for the implementation of the new power boiler - the CF3 n.3 in the paper mill at Três Barras that utilizes biomass to produce clean energy. The award has, for 25 years, recognized the efforts, investments, management and use of technology that ensures sustainable development. It is an incentive for both private and public businesses to establish concrete practices in favor of environmental preservation.
The award ceremony, which will include the attendance of Luiz Henrique da Silveira, the governor of Santa Catarina, will take place at the headquarters of FIESC - the Federation of Industries of the State of Santa Catarina, September 24th at 8 p.m.
Publishing Expression, partner in the event, will launch a yearbook of the stories of the winners, the reasons for their success and FATMA's strategies to continue sustainable development in Santa Catarina.
