The DVD collector's edition for one of the most successful movies in recent history, Disney's High School Musical, will have a luxury touch with Digipak® technology developed by Rigesa. The case includes a side-loading slipcase in Triplex board, printed on Hot stamping. Digipak® includes the 3 DVDs (High School Musical, High School Musical Show and High School Musical 2).
Rigesa was also the choice supplier to produce Digipak® packaging with 2 DVDs with a side loading, including High School Musical 1 and 2 and also the case with the O-ring slipcase (with top and bottom loading) and printed on Hot stamping, for the High School Musical DVD and for the movie Rattatouille, also for Disney
The cases printed on Hot stamping ensure a metallized look, which means visibility in the point of sale. ¿The shiny surface attracts the eye of the final consumer, making the product stand out from others. Considering that the target customers are children, this visual appeal is even more important¿, says Sandra Pinhata, Rigesa¿s Product Development Analyst.
Disney¿s history with Rigesa dates back to 2005, with requests of case development for a number of series and movies such as Lost and Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3. ¿Every time they need a differentiated product, the Disney Marketing Department, in a partnership with the Rigesa Product Development Department, works with cutting edge technology in the market¿, adds Viviani Ribeiro, a member of the Rigesa sales force and in charge of the negotiations with Disney.
