Rigesa da Amazônia SA, the Brazilian subsidiary of MeadWestvaco Corporation (MWV), is to take part in the FIAM 2008 IV ¿ Feira Internacional da Amazônia, which took place between September 10th and 13th 2008, in Studio 5 of the Convention Center, in Manaus, in the state of Amazonas.
Rigesa, which operates in a variety of market segments, including electrical & electronics, telecommunications, two-wheel transport, personal hygiene and food, is to present to the trade fair its innovative solutions for corrugated paper and paperboard packaging for customers in the Manaus Industrial Complex.
One of the major distinguishing features of the Rigesa plant in Manaus is delivery at pre-arranged times, the Just In Time, which significantly reduces customer inventories. ¿This program meets head on the needs of the local market¿, revealed Jurandir Moro, Manaus Box Plant Director.
¿The production of all these types of packaging enables the customers in the Manaus Industrial Complex to enjoy the benefits of better logistics, lower inventories and fast service in response to the rapid changes in packaging¿, added Jurandir Moro.
The packaging produced by Rigesa boasts modern technology, which uses the most advanced printing systems with the ability to apply diverse graphic resources. All of these resources give prominence to the product at the point of sale.
