Rigesa wins 2008 Qualidade Flexo Prize - Dec 16, 2008 - 10:06:00 AM

Rigesa has attained first place in the 2008 Qualidade Flexo (Flexo Quality) prize awarded by the Brazilian Flexographic Technology Association, ABFLEXO /FTA Brasil, the biggest award in the South American flexographic sector, in two categories: ¿Corrugated Board, Color Tones, More Than 4 Colors, Direct Printing¿, for the packaging of customer Cerveja Petra Schwarzbier, and ¿Corrugated Board, Reticulated, More Than 4 Colors, Direct Printing¿, with its packaging for the Baby Gaia papaya. The winning packages were developed by the No.1 Packaging Factory in Valinhos, using Rigegraphicsâ technology and an ultraviolet varnish finish.
In addition to the abovementioned awards, Rigesa won the ¿Top Ten Flexo¿, achieving first place amongst the 10 best flexographic converter companies in Brazil.
Recognition of this kind further strengthens the company¿s image in respect of its product quality.
Held by ABFLEXO each year since 1993, the prize was created to recognize, publicize and reward the best endeavors in the flexographic printing industry, and relies on a jury of around 100 sector technical professionals.
The trophy presentation ceremony at the 16th edition of the Prof. Sérgio Vay Qualidade Flexo Prize took place on December 11th, at the Monte Líbano Club in São Paulo, with Rigesa being represented by Valdir Silva, Production Head, Cleber Urrutia, Salesman and Carlos Valio, Production Engineer, all of whom work at the No. 1 Packaging Factory in Valinhos.
During the ceremony, the 2007 & 2008 Flexo Census was launched, which discloses the Who¿s Who of the Brazilian flexography market, indicating sector trends.
