Rigesa participate in the Fruit Logistica 2010, International Trade Fair for Fruit and Vegetables, which runs from 3 to 5 February in Berlin, Germany.
During the event, Rigesa presented innovative solutions to the market of fruit, including special packaging for fruit, bulk container and IPS - Industrial Packaging System.
The company will also present packaging for fruits produced in India by MWV Wadco, a joint venture between Rigesa and packaging manufacturer Wadco Packaging Pvt. Ltd., established in October 2008. Through this business, Rigesa takes its technology, as evidenced in Brazil, advanced designs and manufactures packaging for farmers in India, where up to 40% of products are damaged in transit before reaching the market due to inefficient practices post-harvest processing and handling.
More than 50 thousand visitors from 120 countries are expected for the event. The event Fruit Logistica is the largest fruit-growing sector of the world and has over 2 thousand national and international exhibitors.
