RIGESA MAKES A DIRECT SALE TO URUGUAY - Jul 14, 2010 - 9:54:00 AM

Rigesa, one of the leaders in the Brazilian corrugated cardboard packaging market has made a direct sale abroad. The company has exported 20,000 Plaform® boxes to the Uruguayan client Univeg Forbel for packing oranges. ¿We are talking about an extremely important deal, as it marks the presence of Rigesa products in other countries via direct export¿, states Aislan Pereira, a business development specialist at Rigesa.
The whole export process, from the products leaving Brazil to their arrival in Uruguay, was monitored by the Rigesa technical team, represented by Alexandre Sartori, who also trained the client in his packing house, and Gabriel Pine, the project designer in charge of the technical structuring of the project. ¿This is a procedure that aims to ensure the assembly of the boxes and client satisfaction throughout the logistics chain¿, concludes the specialist.
ABOUT PLAFORM® PACKAGING
Plaformâ
More than just packaging, Plaformâ is an exclusive design system used to improve the logistics, the palletizing and the storage of fruit, flowers and vegetables. Some of the qualities that set Plaformâ packaging apart from the rest:
· high resistance to cold and humid conditions;
· easy to palletize and high resistance to stacking;
· printed in up to 6 colors, adding value to the product at the point of sale;
· water-based, environmentally-friendly dye;
· greater hygiene with regard to reusable boxes, as the corrugated cardboard packaging prevents the accumulation of debris and the proliferation of fungi;
· automatic assembly system;
· 100% recyclable.

Rigesa uses a unique technology in Brazil known as Rigegraphics®. It is a polychrome, high-resolution flexographic process for printing photos and graphics on corrugated cardboard.
