Rigesa's Corrugated Paper Packaging Division in Valinhos (Sao Paulo, Brazil) was granted a recertification in the Green Partner Program, sponsored by Sony do Brasil.
The program certifies suppliers that have environmentally responsible action, with manufacturing processes that avoid any components or parts that may cause harm to the environment.
The Samsung 2005 EcoPartner Certificate
The Consumer Packaging Division at Rigesa in Valinhos (Sao Paulo, Brazil) was awarded the Samsung EcoPartner certification.
The program was created under the ISO-14000 standard guidelines. For Rigesa, the certification is a recognition of the company's environmental efforts.
The 2005 Mérito Exportação Award
Rigesa was granted the 2005 Mérito Exportação Award due to the company's leadership in exports in 2005, according to a survey conducted by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. The award was established by the Revista da Madeira, one of the most prestigious trade publications in the country, to provide recognition to the leading exporters in Brazil.
Special Achievement
Rigesa was awarded a "Special Achievement" recognition for its Environmental Education Seminar attended by teachers every June.
The homage was paid by the Children's City Council of Blumenau. Nine members of the City Council enrolled schools in their district in the Rigesa Environmental Education Program.
The 2005 Fritz Müller Environmental Management Award
The Rigesa Forestry Division had its manufacturing process environmental control action recognized by the Federação das Indústrias de Santa Catarina (FIESC), an industry association in Florianópolis, as the winner of the Fritz Müller Award, created in April1982 by the Fundação de Meio Ambiente de Santa Catarina (the "FATMA").
This is the most prestigious environmental award granted to businesses, individuals and non-governmental organizations by the Government of the State to recognize the respect for the environment and the promotion of quality of life in the state.
The 2004 Amigo da Cultura Award
The Fundação Cultural de Blumenau elected Rigesa as the winner of the 2004 Amigo da Cultura award due to the company's action to promote cultural activities in the area.
Rigesa sponsors the publishing of children's books with focus on the environment, which are distributed every year to the children of its employees, to public school students and public libraries in the cities where Rigesa has manufacturing facilities.
The 2004 Delmiro Gouveia Award
The Rigesa Corrugated Paper Division in the city of Pacajus, state of Ceará (Brazil) was the winner of the 2004 Delmiro Gouveia Award in the category "Maiores Empresas do Estado" established by the newspaper O POVO and by the Regional Stock Exchange (the "BVRg").
Rigesa wins the Prêmio Ouro and the Certificado de Qualidade awarded by O Boticário
For the fourth consecutive year, Rigesa was the winner of the Prêmio Ouro and the Certificado de Qualidade Assegurada by its customer O Boticário.
O Boticário established the awards to recognize its best suppliers, which undergo performance assessments in items such as timely delivery, customer services and flexible negotiation policies.
In addition to the Troféu Ouro (the Golden Award), Rigesa was also the winner of the Certificado de Qualidade Assegurada (Quality Assurance), after having undergone assessments such as facilities, social/environmental responsibility, safety, manufacturing process, order and cleanliness, pest control, among other items.
The 2003 SGQ Silver Award
The Corrugated Paper and Consumer Packaging Divisions of Rigesa in Manaus won the SGQ Silver Award from customer LG Electronic as the second best supplier in 2003.
Fornecedor Ouro 2003 Award and Certificate of Assured Quality from the
"O Boticário"
Rigesa received from client O Boticário, for the third consecutive year, the Fornecedor Ouro Trophy. For seven years now the company has awarded its major and best suppliers, assessed by their performance in quality, punctuality in the delivery, customer service and flexibility in the negotiations.
In addition to the Golden Trophy, Rigesa was awarded the Assured Quality Certificate, granted by the client after assessment of installations/facilities, social and environmental responsibility, safety, manufacturing process, order and cleanliness, and pest control, among other requirements.
Quality Assurance of Weg Motors Suppliers
Rigesa received from its client WEG Motores, the title of Supplier with Assured Quality. The client has assessed the deliveries and quality of the packagings, as well as the customer service and the development of products since 1995. After the certification, Rigesa's packagings will be subjected to no further inspections, being then delivered directly to the production line.
Qualidade Exportação 2004 Award
Rigesa received the Qualidade Exportação (Exports Quality) 2004 award, annually promoted by the Madeira magazine in Curitiba, state of Paraná, for its outstanding participation in the 2003 exports, as per survey jointly conducted with the Development, Industry and Foreign Trade Ministry (MDIC - Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior).
The prize is viewed as one of the most relevant acknowledgements in the Brazilian companies' sectors of wood and furniture, as well as paper and cellulose.
Exame's Biggest and Best
In its 30th edition, the Maiores e Melhores award, conceived by Editora Abril (Abril Publishing House) and the Exame magazine, granted Rigesa a Certificate for its presence among the 500 largest Brazilian companies along the last 30 years.
Delmiro Gouveia 2004 Award
Rigesa ranked first in the "State's Largest Companies" category, being awarded the Delmiro Gouveia Prize - 2004 Edition, promoted by the O POVO newspaper and by the Regional Stock Exchange of the state of Ceará (Bolsa de Valores Regional do Ceará - BVRg).
Finalist for the Ponto Extra Trophy
Rigesa was one of the five final candidates running for the Ponto Extra Trophy, promoted by the São Paulo Supermarket Association (APAS - Associação Paulista de Supermercados), in the Supplier's Supplier category. A survey carried out by AC Nielsen, world leader in market's data, analyzed the performance and productivity of companies in 23 categories of products and services, between the months July 2003 and June 2004.
Rigesa was elected preferential supplier among supermarket suppliers, ranking first in the 9th edition of the prize offered by APAS - accountable for commercializing over 40 % of the products produced in Brazil.
Desempenho Nordeste 2004 Award
Rigesa received the Desempenho Nordeste 2004 award, promoted by the Miguel Calmon Institute for Social and Economic Studies (IMIC - Instituto Miguel Calmon de Estudos Sociais e Econômicos). The prize aims at stimulating companies to more and more intensively contribute to the country's economic and social development and to generate jobs, income and taxes.

Rigesa was awarded the prize offered by Johnson & Johnson in acknowledgement for its performance, product development and innovation. Rigesa is the only company that, in less than a two-year partnership period, was acclaimed for the quality of services provided.
