Rigesa does much more than just offer excellent products to companies and their consumers. Rigesa has a strong commitment to society. Our social projects seek to fulfill not only the immediate needs in the communities in which we operate, but also to stimulate awareness of key environmental questions, bringing knowledge and resources to hundreds of people.

Below you can learn about some of our projects:

- Children's Educational Books: are distributed to employees' children and local communities. Real environmental awareness starts early. Rigesa sponsored books containing excellent educational content, in language aimed at children, supplying information and culture to the future guardians of the environment.

- Adult Education: Through adult education Rigesa invests in employees' skills and seeks to provide them with better social and cultural preparation that will result in a more competitive position in the work force.

- Environmental education: Rigesa encourages the development of environmental education projects in different segments because we are always thinking about the environment today and in the future.

- The Atlas of Sao Paulo State Environmental Conservation Groups: was sponsored by Rigesa and displays maps of the principle reserves and protected areas in São Paulo State to provide a source of information for research and a guide for the diverse entities and institutions involved in environmental preservation.

- Donations to local communities: Rigesa identifies needy communities and supplies resources to be applied in accordance with each community's needs.

- Rigesa Fire Brigades: Rigesa Fire Brigades provide a variety of services to local communities, assisting with accident victims, construction, and forest fires, as well as participating in social awareness and social integration activities.

- Ethos Institute: Rigesa is associated with the Ethos Institute, an association of companies interested in implementing or advancing social responsibility programs. To Rigesa, this meant building on programs already in place, such as the code of ethics, the ecological programs, and community actions as well as the development of new programs related to business citizenship.

- Environment Seminar: June is Environment Month, and starting on the 5th Rigesa will hold events at all its factories. Since 2001, 1800 teachers of 500 schools has benn trained. Besides the seminar, participating schools receive the Environmental Education Journal.
